Meet Hudson’s Crew!

  • Our store is named after our very own heart horse, Hudson, who lived to be the ripe old age of 39.
Hudson spent the first half of his life serving as a Police Officer in White Plains and then in Rockland County, both of New York state. He then went on to work for National Riding Stables in Gettysburg, PA., taking tour groups out on the hallowed ground of the Gettysburg Battlefield as a trail horse. When he retired, he came to live with us, here in Illinois. He was the most loving and just the goofiest horse we have ever met. He was a bit sassy, extremely talented, had a mischievous side, and definitely knew who he was. He sadly passed on November 11th, 2025, but his memory and legacy will live on through us as our business continues and grows. We thank him for all of the memories and time we had with him.

Kristina, Professional Independent Saddle Fitter

  • Dusty is known as “The Saddle Guy,” but he is also the owner of Husdon’s Tack and More. He has spent countless hours cleaning and fixing saddles and tack for our clients. He has you covered for any grimy or broken saddles and tack. He cares about your favorite saddle or bridle as much as you do. Not only is he amazing at saddle restoration, but he is also an awesome business owner and horse owner. Though he doesn’t ride, he cares for our horses year-round and through any weather.

Dusty, The Saddle Guy

  • Monika is our star employee at the Hudson’s Tack and More store. With over 40 years of experience with horses, she can answer any questions or concerns. She keeps our store going while our saddle fitter Kristina is on the road. She is an amazing asset to our in-store team. Monika’s real full-time job is making sure that our horses are absolutely spoiled! Just like a lot of our clients, she wouldn’t have it any other way!

Monika, General Manager

  • These two kiddos help keep us hip and up on Hudson’s social media. They have been instrumental in Hudson’s biggest events, such as 4-H Outreach and the Midwest Horse Fair. Although they now live in Arizona, they still help in every way they can. Kaleigh has been around horses for most of her life, and we have yet to meet a horse who doesn’t like her. Jaiden has only recently been introduced to horses, but has shown a true passion for them. These two peas in a pod helped Hudson’s Tack and More since the very start and we are lucky to have them as part of this journey.
